Next, visit Maras, where more than 5,000 active salt ponds date back to the Inca era. Discover the traditional salt extraction process and enjoy stunning photographs of the white terraces against the green valley.

Afterward, arrive in Urubamba for an optional buffet lunch surrounded by scenic Andean views. The journey continues to Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town with stone streets and an impressive fortress. Climb its terraces and admire the panoramic view of the valley.

In the evening, head to the train station and board the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo). Upon arrival, your host will take you to your hotel to rest for the big day ahead.
